My pronouns are He/Him. I am originally from Southern New Mexico, but lived in Des Moines for a long time. I am a graduate student in Anthropology. My favorite part about teaching USLS 211 is the opportunity to expand students’ understanding of Latinx communities, and helping students from the Latinx communities to connect their own experiences in the classroom. Latinx is an important part of my life as a third generation Chicano, and I can pull my cultural experiences into my research and ways I engage with the public and students.
